Yolanda Propson, President
Marquette University B.A. speech education. Yolanda is a Paint a Miracle founder, together with her husband, Dale Propson, D.D.S., pediatric dentist, Drs. Delaney, Propson, Plunkett, et. al., 1974-1985. Residents of Shelby Township, MI. Dale suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and loss of eyesight in 1985, and Yolanda directed his care since that time until his death. Dale was an artist at Paint a Miracle until he passed away in 2020, and exhibited his work throughout the state.
Meghan Murphy, Secretary
Meghan has been a supporter of Paint a Miracle since it opened its doors in 2002. After earning a B.A. in Advertising at Michigan State University, she worked in the direct marketing field on both the corporate and agency side in metro Detroit for 10 years. Her marketing experience spans a variety of industries including banking, airlines, and automotive. After the birth of her second child, Meghan stayed home to focus on family; supporting her husband’s career, raising their daughters, and volunteering for the Beaumont Parenting Program. She was later an active volunteer at the schools, including chairing many PTA/PTSA committees as well as serving on the Board at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Meghan was honored with an RCS PTA Founders Day Award for her dedicated service to the schools. Additionally, over the past 10 years, Meghan has been organizing and leading a women’s Bible study group that meets locally every other week. She joined the Board of Directors in 2021. Meghan and her husband, Dennis, reside in Rochester Hills with their school-aged daughter. They also have two adult daughters.
Rob Guy, Treasurer
Rob had 39 years of accounting and financial management experience prior to retiring in 2015. His experience included 25 years of senior level financial, strategic and operational leadership in many leading-edge global automotive manufacturers. Rob has held positions of Chief Financial Officer, Vice-President of Finance, Vice-President of Corporate Development & Administration, Vice-President of Corporate Finance, and Controller for both publicly-held and privately-held automotive manufacturers. Rob has previously served as a Board member and Treasurer of the Michigan Creativity Association, a non-profit organization, which organized and managed creative problem-solving competitions for students using the Destination Imagination, Inc. program. Rob holds an MBA in marketing from Northern Illinois University and a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University. Rob has three children and resides in Rochester, Michigan with his wife and daughter who has Coffin-Lowry Syndrome.
Annette Lafave, BS RTT
Annette is a Radiation Therapy graduate of Wayne State University. It was her passion to be involved in cancer treatment by administering radiation therapy treatments to patients. After a successful career with Beaumont Hospital and the birth of her third son she dedicated herself full time to her family. Annette then looked for opportunities to make a difference in her community and her children’s lives. She led annual fund-raising efforts for the schools and was awarded the prestigious Founders Day award from the Rochester Community School district for her outstanding volunteer work. She has also been involved in various positions at Stoney Creek High School including membership on the executive board of the PTSA, two-year President of the Cougar Pride Club football boosters, and co-chair of the Stoney Creek High School Athletics golf outing. She is also a member of 100+ Women of Greater Rochester.
Debra Branham, RN
Debra has been the Volunteer Coordinator for Paint a Miracle’s fund raising events since 2012. Debra is the creator and coordinator of the Disability Awareness Workshop for Rochester Community Schools since 1998. She is a member of the Health Advisory Board since 2013 and has developed a Reproductive Health Curriculum for students in Special Education. She has been on the Special Education Parent Advisory Board for Rochester Community Schools for 18 years, serving as chairperson for several years. Debra has two children and resides with her husband, Gregg, and youngest daughter, Abigail, in Rochester Hills, MI. Abigail lives with a developmental disability and has been an artist at Paint a Miracle for 12 years.
Paul Propson
Paul recently became CEO of Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Covenant Community Care in Detroit, leading the organization for over ten years. Covenant Community Care is a community health center which provides medical, dental and behavioral health care to over 20,000 people every year at 6 locations around Detroit. Paul was also a 2014 Miller Fellow of the McGregor Fund, and he also serves on the board of the Michigan Primary Care Association. Paul is a graduate of the University of Michigan with an MBA from Eastern University in Pennsylvania. Paul and his wife Jen are raising seven beautiful children in Rochester Hills Michigan.
Heather Tkac
Heather was the Art Director at Marketing Corporation of America in Westport, Connecticut from 1986-1994. For the last three years, Heather ran a visual arts program on a volunteer basis at Rogers Elementary in Pontiac, Michigan. At Rogers, she also set up art shows for underprivileged and at-risk youth, and she worked with the students to create a collaborative mural. Heather’s work at Paint a Miracle includes being a volunteer studio assistant, chairing our fall fundraiser, and the Chair of our Exhibitions Committee. Heather is a resident of Rochester Hills, MI.
