DR. DALE PROPSON

Not only is Dr. Dale Propson one of the studio’s most talented and prolific artists, he is the reason the Paint A Miracle program was created.

Thirty years ago Dr. Dale was a practicing pediatric dentist with a young family when his car was hit by a drunk driver. The injuries he sustained were life threatening and extensive. With much help, he has survived, but was left with significant visual impairment as well as a traumatic brain injury.

Although not an artist prior to the accident, Dr. Dale was introduced to Helen Cuniff, a local artist. When Dr. Dale expressed his concern about not being able to see clearly, Helen told him, ”You don’t need eyes to paint. The image goes from your brain, to your heart, to your hand.”
